Question regarding staying in the US as a spouse of a PR

Hi,


I am a spouse of a permanent resident of US. My husband applied for my GC in Sept. 2008 and it has now been approved. As per the visa bulletin of June 2010 the current priority date is Jan.2008.
I am on an H1-B now. If I decide to leave my job, I wish to know how long can I stay in the US, without having another job on H1-B or when can I apply for my EAD and adjustment of status?

You can apply for EAD and adjustment of status only after the priority date is current. Until then, you will have to maintain your H1 status.
