H4 VISA for my wife.

Can someone help me with a reply to below questios?

My wifes H4 expired recently and she is India right now. Can she appear for VISA interview on my H1 approval which is till 2012. My company will file for my wifes H4 only when she is back in US.

She needs to apply for the Visa. All she needs is your extension approval. At POE, she will get I-94 according to new petition. She needs to file for extension of status only if her I-94 is expiring, she needs to do nothing after she is back to the US.
