Bringing family with me to US

Dear All -

We have been in US for 3 years and returned to India after Job loss. my previous employer revoked my H1B. now after 1 year, I have got H1 approval with new employer. Every one in my family has valid H1 stamp on passport till end of 2011 from my previous employer. my current employer suggests me to come alone and bring family latter but I want to take them with me. I would like to know if it is possible for me to take family with me technically and if not what should i do to correct current situation.

H4 is not associated with any employer. H4 basically depends on your H1B status. So, if all your dependents have valid H4 visa stamped in their passport, then you can take them with you when you go to U.S. If they don't have a valid H4 visa, then they will have to get it stamped based on your current H1B petition.

Name of employer on the Visa does not matter.
