H1B transfer without i797 or petition

I used H1B for 1 year in 2006, however I lost the petition as well as i797. I just have visa stamping on my passport & now looking to do H1B transfer. Is it possible to do so just with visa stamping proof on passport ?

Hi,
If you were on H1B on 2006, now if you are looking for H1B then you will need to consider under H1B Yearly quota..
If you dont have Approval notice then you can request your Previous Employer to share a copy.. If that is not possible, you can go ahead with Stamping page along with explanation. But, at least if you have receipt number would be better for mentioning in the form.
