    I moved to company B last year, my h1b stamp on my passport from Company A will expire on April 2011, I want to stamp the new visa from Company B to my passport, do I need to exit US? If I need to exit can I go to mexico and file for visa stamping thou im not a mexican? Cuz clearly this is the nearest one to US.

    what are the other infos I need to know. Btw, I have a child that is a US citizen thou below 18 y/o, can i bring her when i file for visa stamping.

    >>> Why do you want to get the H1B stamped when you already have a valid H1B visa in the passport? You don't need a new visa just because you changed the employer.

    do I need to exit US?
    >>> Yes, to get the visa stamping you need to go out of the country.

    If I need to exit can I go to mexico and file for visa stamping thou im not a mexican? Cuz clearly this is the nearest one to US.
    >>> Check this.

      The only reason why I want to stamp the new H1b is in case I would go for a vacation in my home country so I can reenter the US, the new visa will expire on 2012, but the old one that was stamped will expire on april 2011 and im planning to see my family back home xmas of 2011, which will make the stamp expired when I leave the US.

        Get the visa in your home country whenever you visit. Why add another step?
        Name of company on the Visa does not matter, I-94 is given according to latest approved petition notice.
        This is my opinion and not legal advice.
