Transfer F1 (OPT) to H1B.

Hi,
currently i am working on 17 month OPT and working on company A which is E-Verify and my OPT finished on 21st March 2011 this company not sponsor me H1B. And i have offer from company B but company B is not E-verify but company B offer me starting date is 1st march 2011 and it also sponsor H1B. So my question is can i file H1B right now for year 2011 and put start date on 1st March 2011 or not ?. so until 1st march i can work with company A.
Please help me out from this issue.

H1 cap is open, and an employer can file H1 petition requesting a start date as far as 6 months from the date of filing. If March 1 is less than 6 months away (do you math), they can file.
