YouTube Channel on H1B and Monetization

Guys,

This may be an odd question at these tough times. However, I guess it never hurts to ask.

Can I run a YouTube channel with the hopes of monetization while on a H1B visa?

If not, can I create the videos myself and then, monetize in my sister's name who has an EAD. The accept the money back as a gift and pay any applicable taxes. The channel and idea is very premature and I have no clue if I can ever monetize it. But still I would like to know if I do any of the above?

Hi,
As a H1B Employee you will be on full time/part time Employee of some company.. If you open You tube channel and making money through that then you will need to show for taxes.. As a H1B Employee you can be a Employee of some company and they will need to sponsor H1B. Through that, you can earn money.. So, there will be controversy always on this.
But, I could say, this question is really under conversation mode of all the time.
