If I hired a attorney and;

If visa officer ask me, I can say that i had paid attorney fees or I hired a attorney. It is legal?

Will it cause any problem for my visa approval?

H1B petition should be filed by the employer or their attorney. If you hire an attorney, then it like you applied the petition all by yourself just by getting the required documents from the employer. Doesn't yur company have an attorney who takes care of all this? You can pay the legal attorney fees to file the petition.
