Urgent: H1B Transfer question

Hello all,

I have an urgent situation. I am working as a postdoc on H1 visa valid till Jan 2013. and got an offer in another university. They are applying for my H1 Transfer . I was on a student visa F1 till 2008 and hence my visa expired in 2009. Will I face any problems now during H1 Transfer because of my visa. I have maintained legal status all through and was not able travel to India for H1 change.

Visa is just an entry document. Once you are in US, your I-94 determines your legal status. If you have a valid I-94 with H1b status, your transfer should go fine.
