Part-time mentorship work on H1B visa

Hello,
I am currently on H1B VISA and would like to know if I could do part-time mentorship for an Indian company on weekends and get paid in India, will that affect my US visa?
I will be paying taxes for that job in India.

Hi,
Per my knowledge, there is no absolute answer for this. When we ask Attorney's about working from India for US when you are on H1B and getting paid in US payroll, they don't see any problem. If this is correct then working from US for India and getting paid from India account also should be OK. But, working from US on H1B visa is making some doubtful.
I suggest you to have a discussion with Immigration attorney to make the conclusion on this.
