H1B re-validation with Extension Approval "Courtesy Copy"? Urgent

Please suggest if anyone got done H1B stamping ( revalidation ) using the
H1B extension (I-797) courtesy copy in India.

I use to work for Company "A" on L1B visa and switched to Company "B" in Sep 2003 , on H1B with extension coz my L1B got expired in Jul 2003.
All we received from INS till now is the I-797 "Courtesy Copy", which doesn't
has the new I-94 card at bottom. It was stated in the document that the
originals were mailed to my Lawyer of my previous employer ( Company "A").
I did contacted the previous employer but they said they never recevied my
original papers.

Then I applied for I-824 requesting INS to issue duplicate I-797, which was not processed till date.

Now I have to travel to India due family emergency and I am worried that
whether I can use the "Courtesy Copy" when go I for stamping in India.?

Did anyone used a "I-797" Courtesy Copy for stamping in India.??
Please let me know.!

I would really appreciate any help on this issue.
