Need advice for pending H4 visa

I attended my H4 visa interview at US embassy on 6th july at Delhi. At the time of interview the officer said ur visa is approved and u wl get it within a week..,, but till now i did not get any information from their side. When i m trying to know the status of my visa through SMS to the number 57333,, i m getting reply PASSPORT NOT RECEIVED BY VFS.
I m very confused what should i do , should i call the Embassy for knowing the status or should i wait for the admin processing to complete as somebody told it would be under admin processing..

Can H4 visa takes this much time? please help
If suppose its under admin processing, then what could be the estimated time limit...
Please suggest, i m very tensed
