Can a newborn baby born in usa to indian parents get indian passport and USA visa

HI All

I have couple of question as follows
1. Can a new born baby born to Indian parents get Indian passport?
2. If we get Indian passport to my child, how can we get USA visa?

1. Yes, as long as you meet the ALL of the below requirements
- You have not applied for the child’s US passport (if you have applied, then you cannot apply for an Indian passport, instead apply for the child’s OCI)
- You have registered the birth of the child with the MEA & Indian consulate in your jurisdiction.

2. The child cannot get a US visa on their Indian passport as they are citizens by birth.
The US consulate in India or any country will reject the child’s US visa application and recommend that you apply for a US passport instead.

The choice to apply for an Indian passport only makes sense if you plan on leaving the US and not returning until the child reaches the age of 18.
At that time the child can choose between Indian or US citizenship and Renounce the one they do not want.
By law, the parent cannot renounce a child / minor’s US citizenship
