Travel to India while H4 and H4EAD in processing

I am planning to travel to India in December. My h4 and H4ead getting expired in Jan 2022. Till now I am waiting for my husband h1b receipt number to apply for my H4a and EAD. Is it possible still I can travel to India and come back without any problems. Is it safe to travel while extension is in processing?

Hi,
If you have H4 visa then Yes, you can travel without any issues. But, you will have one better option. Since your H4 is going to expire, why dont you get H4 extension visa at consulate instead of filing H4 petition? This way, you can directly file H4 EAD upon return to the country.
