Entered US on F1 visa , H4 approved afterwards. Current Status?

Hello ,

My wife's H4 renewal was applied in February, then she traveled to India to get her F1 student visa. She left US in July and entered US back in F1 visa (F1 visa approved date - Aug 10; Entered US - Aug 20). Now her H4 renewal got approved on Aug 26.

We are confused on what her status currently is F1 or H4 ?

Kindly provide some guidance.Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Since you got F1 visa approved with consulate and entered with F1 status, you will need to consider F1 status for now. Better, Withdraw H4 Approved petition as soon as possible.
