H1 Extension (How is tenure calculated?)

I was in the US from MAY 2009 to June 2010.
I came back to India in June 2010.My H1 Visa expires in June 2011.I wish to travel around jan-feb 2011 to file my extension.
I want to know if I'll be able to stay in the US for 5 more years(considering I have already stayed there for 1 yr. 6-1=5yrs) or will the tenure I reside in Inida get subtracted from that?

Only the time spent in the US in H1 or L1 status counts against 6 years. Petitions are approved for 3 years max at one time.
