First H1B stamping in canada

Hi,
I’m working in Canada(work permit) and my H1B got approved last year. I have booked my first H1b stamping in Toronto(Dec 2021). Can I go for my first stamping in Toronto or I should go to India. I don’t know the process in Toronto. anyone done it before?

Hi,
Hope, you have got H1B Approval with consular processing. If so, they would have mentioned the consulate name in the Approval notice. Based on that, you can move forward and complete the procedure.

I have read in few forum and asked few people, some says first time stamping has to be in home country and is not allowed in Canada or any third country.

I just had a change in status from F-1 to H-1b and have Canadian visa as well.

Even though, Canadian border is closed right now, can I get my first stamping in Canada, when the borders open?
