Hello,
I am currently in Canada for a period of 6 months on a work permit. I applied for a US visit visa from here, but it got rejected under 214b.
the two reasons given were :
1. the officer recommended that I apply from my home country, i.e India
2. I do not have any earlier issuance of a US visa , which could have been a plus point, when I apply from a different country.
Now , coming to my question.
My H1-B petition has already been approved, and my company is waiting for me to submit the docs for VISA stamping once I return to India.
Would this visit visa rejection create any problems with my H1-B visa application ?I definitely plan to mention this while applying, because I have valid reasons why the visit visa was rejected.
Please let me know your opinion.
Thanks,
Priya
