Hi!
I started working on OPT with a consultancy after I graduated from my master's. I had applied to H-1 with them which got approved recently. However, there is a glitch in the approval notice. the H-1 approval is for a abroad visa instead of the regular change of status. The lawyer with the consultancy says that I will have to fly out of the country and get my H-1 stamped right now or wait till USCIS sends the corrected approval notice.
Does anyone know how long does it typically take to issue a corrected approval notice.
Meanwhile, I have a shot at a full time employment offer from a different company that I will have to start soon. I would greatly appreciate if someone can tell me the steps i need to take to transfer my H-1.
