Spelling Mistake in my passport

Hi Everyone,

My passport has "BALJIT SINGH" as my Given Name. I do not have any surname. Surname field is blank on my passport.

As per my other documents like education certificates, work experience, offer letter etc has different name "BALJEET SINGH" on it.

In my petition , my employer submitted my name as "BALJEET SINGH".I am going for H1b interview on Oct 2010. My concern is "Will they create any problem with my name?"

How i will make them sure that "BALJIT SINGH" and "BALJEET SINGH" are same person that is me. I have my voter id card with "BALJIT SINGH" on it.

What should i do now? Please help me . I am going to give interview next month.

Usually passport name should be final and used everywhere.
If you wanted, you should have correct name on your passport.

Why did passport officer gave different name than that on school certificate?
Spelling mistake or that is what you wanted?

Why did your employer use different name than that on passport?

I don't know why passport officer used different name. At this time , I can not change my name on passport or even passport. It is already submitted to USA Embassy.

My employer filled my petition on the basis of my education, work experience documents. They did not notice my name on my passport.

I am going for H1b interview next month (Oct 2010). Please help me by providing the best possible solution.
