Visa stamping needed for changing employers while on H1 status ?

Hi Team,

I was previously working for Company A in Texas and had gotten my H1 Visa stamped valid till April 2022. Two months ago I changed my employer to Company B in California. Can I still travel to India and renter US using the old visa stamp in my passport which is till valid but bearing the old company name ? Or do I need to go for a new H1 stamping when I travel to India now because I have changed employers ?

Answer: Yes. If you have a visa validity for now, during the validity period, you can travel abroad and reenter. Even if you go for visa stamping to renew your current H1B visa, you will be eligible for Interview waiver.
