  • Entering US with passport valid less than 6 months

    Hi Team,

I am currently on skilled immigrant visa H1B and have a valid visa stamp on my passport. However my current passport has less than 6 months of validity from the date of travel to US. I wanted to clarify if I can still re-enter US with my current passport since I would like to apply for my passport renewal in US.

Appreciate your time and patience in going through my email.

Depends on what country you are coming from. There are a list of countries here: https://fam.state.gov/searchapps/vie...FAM040309.html that do not require six months on the passport. If I can guess from your name, India is on the list.

      Hi Member,
As per my knowledge, Yes you can.. But, I see some people in the same situation and their I-94 is getting valid as per passport duration. So Please keep in mind all of these then proceed ahead.
      All the best.
      Thanks
