Visiting parents driving in USA?

Hi

I know visitors can drive on Indian license in the USA. However, does a typical car insurance cover someone like parents who are visiting you? Do you foresee any issues with parents driving occasionally? Are there steps I can take to ensure they are covered insurance-wise and with any other aspect?

Hi Member,

Firstly, If visitors wants to drive in the USA, they will need International Driving Permit (IDP) . This can be issued only the country that issued your driver's license in your home country.
And another portion is, If foreign visitor is driving their own car then it is up to driver to have US based Insurance policy coverage.
