H1B VISA Renewal - Stuck with admin processing

All,

I am in india for a month vacation, i attended the VISA interview in hyd on 8th Sept 2010 for my H1B VISA renewal. I had all the documents they mentioned and was very confident that every thing will be fine. But during the inteview the VO did only ask about my paystubs and the reason why i am going to US. He did not check any other document and asked me proceed to another window where i filled a white form with my previous travels and jobs information, untill then i didnt know that my case is under admin processing. Then the person at the window handed me a white slip saying that my case is under admin processsing and it might take 2-3 weeks. Today is 30-sept-2010 and case still shows "under processsing". I have a scheduled flight back to US on 2-Oct-2010 and i have a ongoing project over there and i am stuck here. Is there anybody with similar case and have recieved the VISA??? what am i supposed to do now? any suggestions????

Unfortunately there is nothing you could do. You just have to wait and watch. Search for keywords like "Admin Process", "Administrative Process" in immihelp and you will find a lot of related posts. Lot of people have successfully got their visas after admin processing.

If the client ends the contract due to the delay in the admin processing then do i still have chances of getting the VISA?? Is there anything i could do prepare myself for this situation.

Sometimes during admin processing they may check with the client to see if you actually work for them. If they respond positive, you will get the visa. But admin processing is not done just for job verification. They might be doing it for other factors. You just need to wait and watch. It is really hard to perdict the outcome. If you still have th job and if your documents are good, then your chances are high.

Varying Case update

I called the DOS a week back and the VISA specialist(VS) said the case is pending with the embassy, please call back after a week to check the status. When i called yesterday i.e after one week the another VS picked the call and asked for my PP number and said my case has been been processed and is with the embassy for stamping.
I was happy that the case is getting some progress and the stamping not very far now but my happiness dint last long when i called the DOS again to find out the date when the case was processed, this time a lady picked up the call and said the case is still pending and ongoing processing. Now i am really confused on what to believe.

Please give me some directions.

is there a difference between pending with embassy or pending with someone else.??
