L1 to H1 Change

Hi,

I have query on converting from L1 to H1.

In 2008, I processed my H1 through a consultant and got my petition. But I didn't go for stamp due to personal reasons.

After a year, I got my L1 stamped through my Indian employer and got the opportunity to travel to US 2 months back.

Is there any possibility of join the consultant who processed my H1. Petition is valid till 2011.

If, it is valid, can I transfer it to another employer now without any payslip?

>>> Possible. They will have to file a COS from L1 to H1B using the old CAP. Remember, oncethe COS gets approved, you can no longer work for the L1 employer.

>>> Yes. You will still need to provide the pay slips from your L1 to prove thatyou maintained your valid L1 status.
