H1 Interview waiver, H4 dependant eligibility

Hi All,

I am eligible for Interview waiver and my dropbox appointment is schedule to happen next month. My dependant child is 9 years old and got an appointment on the same day as mine. Question is, is he eligible for the dropbox appointment? Can myself and child proceed with the interview? FYI, my spouse does not hold a valid Visa.
