H1B after completing full term in L1B

Hi,

I got my H1B in 5th year of my L1B and I did not do change of status from L1B to H1B. Then after completing my 5 years in L1B, I returned to India. Now I am going for my H1B stamping. So my questions/doubts are, will it be still considered as change of status as I got my H1B during L1B time ? how many years I will get in H1B? Will L1B years also considered ?

I'm not sure what you are asking. By making the H-1B petition, you were asking for a change of status if you were still in the US.

Initial H-1B duration is three years (extendable to six). Your L1B time will count against that time unless you were out of the US for twelve months.

Hi Rakish,

I got H1B approved for 3 years and it is valid till Sept 2022.
