status showing "refused" but no communication from consulate

Hello Experts,

I opted for drop box application with interview wavier , submitted documents on 3rd march. When checked on 7 march its saying below. I do not got any email from consulate, could someone share where I can check reason for refusal.
Please also share information if you have seen any such situation in past. Appreciate your help.

““A U.S. Consular Officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. Hello Community,

Finally I got an email from consulate mentioning i need to attend visa interview. so all work out well. It seems "refuse" is just a place holder status for further processing.
Posting this so that if someone in future could use this info.

I'm in a similar situation. I was asked to come in for an interview which is scheduled for next week. Did they approve your visa when you went in for the interview? Appreciate the help!

I am in similar situation. My case was refused and waiting for email from consulate. Do they mention about the reason of refuse, was the interview easy? Approved?

I am in same situation. But, I am unable to schedule an appointment to designated consulate.
Did you get interview appointment scheduled by designated consulate or you did it by your self?

Passport: INDIAN
Legal status: Staying in Canada so trying stamping in Canada only.
