Labor before 365 days of my H1 expiry date

I came to us in May 2006 and I will be entering in to my 6th year of H1B period in March 2010.

I heard that I should apply for my Labor before 365 days of my H1 expiry date.
is that ture ?

Or I can apply for labour in 6th year?

---- In order to extend your H1 (after 6 years) by 1 year you should have applied for your labor 365 days in advance

---- If you have taken a vacation and gone out of the US you can recapture those many number of days to your H1 extension. This may give you a total of 365 days or more
