Visa fee using NEFT being returned

I'm trying to schedule an appointment for H visa stamping through my profile at USTravelDocs website. I'm able to update my details and pay the visa fee using NEFT through ICICI bank. However, the fee is being credited back to my bank account in a day. I've talked to my bank and USTravelDocs helpdesk but am not getting any explanation about what might be the issue. Instead I'm being suggested to try a different mode of payment.
Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong?
