H1B visa Dropbox

Hello friends,
I have my H1B Dropbox appointment booked. Since my passport is expiring in next 6 months I have applied for passport renewal. I have filled DS 160 and booked appointment with old passport.

What should I do now? Kindly assist.

Similar to this. I booked a dropbox appointment. Now I am getting a role change in my organization. which now goes for an amendment on my H1B. Should I have to cancel my previous D-160 and go for a new one or it is okay to proceed with same D-160.

please help
