Can we go to Mexico with valid 797?

Hi, Currently i am in H4 with visa stamped till Jan 2022. But have a valid i 94 till June 2022. I work and my EAD is expiring June 2022. My husband H1 got extended till 2024. Because of new automatic h4 EAD automatic extension. i am planning to go to Mexico visa consulate to get my H4 stamped based on my husband new H1 EXTN. Can i go to Mexico with valid 797 with expired stamp in passport? Can some one help answering.

Thanks. Just to confirm, you mean to say we cannot travel to Mexcio with valid i94 in 787? we need valid US visa in passport to travel? is my understanding correct?

I am not sure whether you can get into Mexico; they usually require a valid US visa, but I have heard that they may not check people who do not go beyond the border cities.

But more importantly, to enter the US, you will need a valid US visa, unless you are entering on Automatic Revalidation after a trip of less than 30 days to Canada or Mexico. But on Automatic Revalidation, you will only be admitted until the expiration date of your previous I-94; you will not get a new period of admission.
