I am a student going from OPT to H1B.
OPT (Expired on January 05,2005)
H1B (Applied on July 14th,2005) -> Online Status: Processing
Current Situation:
I am worried as i am still not gettin my H1B visa.There is no information on H1 status & there was no Query,Approval or Rejection until today.
My employer spoke to USCIS & gave all the information again & they asked to come back after 30 days if the status is not updated.But after 30 days,i could be out of status!
I have recently found that my name on my SSN is wrong(when i was filing my Taxes for the first time )!
My name on SSN is LAST,FIRST (IT SHOULD BE FIRST NAME,LAST NAME,if i am not wrong)
Questions:
1.Could this be a problem in delaying my H1 status?If yes,shld i change it now?
& if i change it,how should i inform USCIS?
2.They might ask for a valid status when i go for a change of name on SSN.Am i on a valid status to change my SSN?
3.How long am i on valid status(OPT Expired on jan,05 2005?
4.Can i do a premium Processing now?
I am totally confused,Pls clarify these questions for me!
