My husband and I are travelling to India next week. We just found out that my husband lost my I-94 card. But we have the copy of it. Can we still travel? Is it an issue? What can be done? Please advise.
Leaving the country is not a problem. However, if you don't return the I-94, your exit entry will not be registered and when that I-94 expires, it will be considered as you are still in the country with illegal presence. To avoid all these complications, apply for a replacement I-94 and return it back with the required supporting documents to prove that you actually left the country on so and so date.
Follow theinstructions in the below link to get a replacement I-94 and how to return uncollected I-94 back to CBP. https://www.immihelp.com/form-i-94/
