H1 application pending when entered on H4

Hello,

My wife entered the states on a H4 visa this August. She still holds her job in an Indian company who applied for her H1B visa after she enetered the states. The complication is that, when the company got her papers ready it was before our marriage and before she had her H4 visa, so probably all the papers that have gone with the application might be showing that my wife does not have a US visa.

1. We haven't got the approval till now, but the current status on the USCIS site shows that its in "Initial Review". The application went on August 17th and she entered the states on August 6th. Will this be an issue when USCIS is looking at her application?

2. Does anyone know what are the expected timelines of new H1B applications?

3. Is there a way to get a more detailed insight as to what the visa stauts is in USCIS rather than just looking at their website?

3. You may call USCIS. But website should be good enough.
