I was in USA from 2015 to 2018. My H1b Visa got expired in December 2017 and I had applied for Visa Extension (I had 2.5 years left out of 6 years limit). In March 2018, due to some family issue, I had to come back to India. And in May 2018 I received Visa Denial notice. After this I did not apply for visa extension again as I was no longer working with USA client. Now I want to apply for H1b visa extension again.
My doubt is - Is there any time limit within which I need to apply for Visa extension? E.g. with 4 years or 6 years of Visa expiration/ denial? Or I can apply for extension any time? Since my visa expired in December 2017, do I need to apply for extension before December 2023 (considering 6 years). Please help. I am not able to find answer to this anywhere.
