How to get case/petition number?

Hi,

I have a valid H1 petition from my old company. Valid till 2012.
I had to resign from my old company because of my marriage and moved to another company and city. Since i resigned, my visa processing was stopped and company took back my petition. I heard that if i have case number and my old company has not cancelled my petition i can still transfer the same to new company. But i dont remember my case/petition number.
Can someone please let me know if there are any ways of getting case/petition number.

Any help/suggestion for the same will be gratefull.

If you don't have the receipt number, there is nothing much you could do. Don't you have a copy of your previous H1B approval notice?

Anyhow, the H1B CAP is still open and a new employer can file a fresh petition and request an immediate start date.
