i94 extension after passport renewal

Hi,

My wife i94 is expiring in couple of months but her H4 visa is valid till 2024.i94 was given until the time of passport expiration date.
Now we have new renewed passport . Can you suggest any options for us to extend the i94 .

one option suggested is to leave the country and come back but are there other option which we can consider while residing in the US.

The two options are:
1. File I-539 for Extension of Stay inside the US, or
2. Leave the US and re-enter on their H4 visa
