Working from home in Canada while on H1B
Hi All,
I wanted to check if an H1B holder can work from home in Canada (US-Canada bordering city) without any legal issues related to US immigration. I was told by my attorney that since LCA location is far away from the bordering city in which I reside, I need to commute to office daily to maintain H1B status.
Has anyone else been in the same situation? Does anyone know how long one can stay outside of US while on H1B? If anyone has worked from home residing in Canada while on H1B, did it pose any issues during H1B renewal?
