L1 to H4 in US

L1 to H4 in US

Hi,

I am on H1 and my wife is going to work on L1 and then for 2 months she will be on leave. So for the time she is on leave, do we need to switch to H4? And if yes then can we do that switch within US only or do we need to go back to native and come as H4?

It really depends on if the company will still have her as an employee and she plans on returning after the LOA. If so, no need to change status.
