H4 to h1 COS...help needed

Hi,

Currently i have H4, i am planning for h4 to H1 COS...i have spoken with a vendor, he has agreed to process h1 for me. Now i need to know whether i need to have client letter for the vendor to start the process or can the vendor apply for h4 to h1 cos without client letter.

Kindly help me, i am in india still, i am plannning to come there by december 1st week. your reply may help me in deciding me about quiting my current job in india and coming there. this is one of the major decision in my life. Kindly help me.

H1 petitions for consultants get a lot of scrutiny these days. It is better to apply with a client letter showing availability of project.

suppose consider, i am in US on H4 and if i attend any interview, wont they be asking me whether i have legal working visa with me during the time of interview. If i say yes they will be asking me for H1Visa, SSN, I797 to release the client letter..or shall i tell that i am in H4, the employer has to process my H4 to H1 COS....will they release me client letter in that case?

i dont think any employer will wait for me to complete the H4 to H1 COS to join them..even to sponsor for me...
