Background:
I visited india for H1B extension stamping and submitted documents for dropbox (dec 16).
Employer is same with updated job title (associate mat. engineer to mechanical engineer).
Experience:
Dropbox is refused and called for visa interview at New Delhi.
Visited interview on jan 3rd.
Interview:
Me: Good Morning
VO: Good morning! give me the passport
Me: Gave my old and new pasport
VO: Are you here for H1b?
Me: I am here for H1B extension
VO: Asked my I-797
Me: Provided doc.
VO: Do you work for client?
Me: No. I work directly for XXX company as a full time.
VO: Asked about salary
Me: told
VO: What is your job title?
Me: told- mechanical engineer
VO: Tell me about your company and your job role
Me: Explained about my company and job role
VO: Asked question in detail about job duties and where its being applied
Me: Explained (VO is not clear about where my job is applied)
VO: went back and discussed with other staff and then provided me 221g yellow slip.
Directed me to other counter.
Counter: Provided document Instruction (refer to attachment)
Question:
1. For H1b extension case (us employer), what are the things not necessary in the given document points and what are important?
2. Do i need invitation letter from employer even though i work there for long time?
3. Do anyone have similar experience? If so, please let me know the processing time. I supposed to return on Jan 7th.
