I just got laid off. I'm a software engineer at one of the top investment banks (you can probably guess by the news).
Currently on H1b. I was told that I'm being terminated and that I will be paid for the next 2 months.

I wanted to know if my 60 unemployment days start from today, or after 2 months. That will determine, if I get 2 months or 4 months of buffer to find a new job.
I tried my best to get an answer to this internally but so far no one can say.
