Hi All, I am sharing my experience and questions regarding H1b stamping at delhi consulate.
Biometric done on 17th Oct 2022
Interview on 18th Oct 2022
vo asked me few simple question like where am i going? salary? how long working with Org? job profile?
And finally she asked me a life threatening question: Did I ever had any issue with law enforcement? Clear answer is no..never! After that she asked me to move to another window where a lady gave me DS5355 vetting form and told me I will receive a mail in few hours. Within 3 hours I got a mail asking for last 15 years of travel history.
it’s been almost 3 months and still now change in case date or case status. It shows refused with case date of 17th oct. Tried to ask status twice via mail but got generic response to wait until further adjudication.
Now question:
1. My I797 is approved till 23rd March 2023. What will happen if they approve visa after that time? Will they extend the time and stamp new date on passport.
2. They are not giving any update on name of national security. My wife and daughter has dropbox appt on 27th Jan 2023. Not sure what to do now. Should we go ahead and attend dropbox appt. Or wait. If wait when should i book next appt? It’s complications situation right now and USCIS is not helping a bit.
