H1 Renewal - Job title change from last H1-Petition/Renewal

My job title has changed(promoted) from a Principal SQA Engineer to Senior Principal Software Engineer even though my job role is almost 80% the same as the previous one. I continue to SQA-related activity but am more into automation/SDET roles ( leading change in title to Software Engineer ) .
Should I go ahead with the H1 renewal with the new title ( and might require a new PERM? ) or ask my employer to change the title to Senior Principal SQA Engineer in order to avoid confusion with the USCIS?
