H1B visa Question

Hi there!

I’m moving to New York on a J-1 Irish Work and Travel Visa (Allowing me to work in the US for 12 months).

This means I will have to return home to Ireland in March 2024.

I wanted to know more about the H1B visa. If my company wanted to put me through the H1B process in 2024, will they still be able to put me forward for the H1B visa even though I have to return to Ireland in March 2024?

I think the H1B visa has to be submitted around March/April time (not 100% sure) - so will the company still be able to put me through the process even though I might have to return home shortly after that? (I’m assuming the H1B visa process will take a few months?)

Any help appreciated and I can answer any questions!
