Travel out of country if not picked

Just in case I don’t get picked in the lottery, my friends and I are planning a trip to Mexico or Canada as a consolation. I’m currently on OPT so can theoretically come back with no issue with automatic revalidation Speed Test https://vidmate.bid/ .

My question is trip is scheduled for late April/May and my EAD expires in early June. Could this short time between trip cause issues at the border, e.g a border agent denying me entry since it’s only a short time till I’d have to depart
