I am a Indian citizen, currently on H1B , residing in USA. I recently applied for Canada visitor visa which got refused stating below reasons: 1) Purpose of travel is not consistent with the reason and proofs submitted 2) current legal status in current country of residence. Later I found from my friends that refusal is because I did not have a valid stamped visa in my passport. On June 2023, I have my H1B stamping scheduled in India. I will be visiting New Delhi consulate for an in person interview . I would like to know if Canada visitor visa refusal will have any negative impact on my H1B stamping. If so what are the possible scrutiny I can expect.
