I797A / I94 Name spelling mistake by USCIS while I-9 pending with Employer
I am currently a H4 visa holder, about to join a company on 05/03/2023. My employer is asking me to complete form I-9 for employment eligibility verification.
Here is my issue -
That being said, can I continue my employment as on I-9 form the same name as passport is required for I-94. What are my options since my name is not the same on I797A /I-94 notice?
Kindly help me with a resolution as I am really confused regarding my next steps.

Here is my issue -
- My current H4 EAD expires on May 13, 2023
- My H4 is approved till 02/19/2026 and I received the I797A with extended I94 but my name is printed wrongly. ( Extra R printed)
- I recently filed I765 and yet to receive the receipt notice. Hopefully I should get it before 13th May.
