Guys,

Once in january when i called up DOS some one told the message they see is that they are waiting for some informations since dec 13th 2010.....but now they say they dnt see such a message there...it jst says its under administrative processing and also that the embassy replied to the congressman enquiry. Anyone has such an experience??

My employer send the request to congreeman. In the congressman website you can get a privacy act release form. So you and your emploer fill one each and also a letter from the employer about the emergeny in your return. In my case after i send these documets, my employer got a reply from congressman office asking for documents from them like the EIN document and the articles incorporated. After submittign these documents to his office he send the enquiry and got an official reply which they forwarded to my employer saying nothing new to report in my case and they cannot estimate a time for the same.

Hey guys.. my husband is also on the same boat with 211g yellow slip from hyd consulate asking for all the pitioner docs. It has been a week till now tht he has been to visa. He submitted the docs the very next day. It was stated on the dsform that PIMS is ok
The visa officer asked him to submit the passport but the people accepting docs at vfs were insisting to take his passport.
1. Can someone help out out with the approx time that we can expect any kinda reply from the consulate ppl?
2. Chances of visa getting approved?
3. How to track the yellow slip. I could see many floks discussing on the pdf document getting updated. is this the same with hyd consulate too or anything else?

Hey Guys,

Anyone tried contaacting the consulate through an attorney. Did anyone get a response from the attoreny asking for G-28 form(as Razz did in one of the previous posts)...My attorney send a mail to consulate and he got 4 responses from consulate. First asking for more of my personal details...then asking for G 28 form...then recalling the G 28 form request..and then the standard reply that is unde AP

@dec9221g - my attorney contacted the Dept of State yesterday via the generic email-but I am guessing there will be no response.
Haven't head of the consulate being contacted to any consequence either - is the it the same mumbainiv at state . gov address?

@dec9221g - My Attorney sent email to mumbai consultate ,they didnot ask for any forms by next working day they replied, they just gave standard reply saying its pending and they cannot provide time estimate ,etc

Received H1 stamping

Got a mail from consulate to submit my passport on 11th march and submitted on match 14th and received the passport with stamping 5 mins back. Wish everyone will get visa soon...

VI Date : March 2nd
Docs Submitted : March 4th
Passport submission mail from consulate : March 11th
Passport Submitted : March 14th
Passport Received: March 18th

Urgent Help needed

Hi guys,

I had visa interview on 21st of Jan 2011 at new delhi.

Visa office gave me 221g Green colour form and asked me to send the documents via vfs center.

till date i have not hear anything from them.

I also have other valid petition of H1-b from my previous employer.

When i asked vfs help line that can i re apply for H1 on other petition the said i must withdraw my old case first and then only i can re apply for visa.

what shall i do?? shall i wait for my case or shall i go ahead and withdrw my case and re apply.

Please advice.

Fianlly got the Visa

VI : 3rd Dec (first time H1b stamping - mumbai consulate)
Got the barcode in the pdf file : 11th March
Passport submitted: 11th March
Got Visa and passport back: 18th March

221g yellow - no documents asked.
